Robert Bacon is back! Following up on last year’s single ‘Out of The Blue’ – praised by Mesmerized as “showcasing Robert’s exceptional storytelling prowess” – the Nashville-based creative is now back with a substantial release, a collection of Christmas-themed songs with a charming Country twist. ‘What Christmas Means To Me’ is exactly that: Bacon’s artistry declined in festive terms.
The EP is conveniently divided into two hidden sections; you have your uplifting, happy-driven anthems (such as ‘Here’s to Christmastime’ and ‘Holly Jolly Christmas’) and your poignant, evocative gems (‘I Found Christmas’ is an excellent example of that). Apart from the musical formula, what strikes a chord with the listeners is the meaningful and relatable lyricism, often interlaced with Bacon’s personal history.
Growing up on a farm in the midwest, Robert worked his way up through military settings to then flourish in the Americana and Country music scene – something he’s immensely proud of. Speaking about the EP, he explains: “It’s a reminder that no matter where we come from or what we’ve been through, there’s always room for hope, togetherness, and the warmth of shared moments. This EP is my way of reflecting on those simple yet profound truths, and I hope it resonates with everyone who listens, reminding us all of what truly matters during this special time of year.”
