Rounding off the week is ‘Fishing the River’, the brand new single from a firm favourite of ours, Atlanta-based singer/songwriter and guitarist Robbie Rapids. Penned as a fun piece of music about Robbie’s lack of fishing skills, the upbeat and lively swamp rock tune will have you on your feet in no time. Alongside Ralph Crabtree, Matt Stachler, Steve Jones, and Scott Jacobs, Rapids has concocted a rollicking adventure down the river of rhythm and melody, and we simply cannot get enough!
Perhaps best known for leading a Tom Petty tribute band due to his vocal resemblance and shared musical preferences, Robbie still somehow finds the time to release his own music. He’s built up a solid fanbase of his own ever since 2022 and shows little signs of slowing down any time soon – something that we’re extremely excited about!
With similarities to Creedence Clearwater Revival classics like ‘Green River’ and ‘Born on The Bayou’, ‘Fishing the River’ captures the essence of Southern rock while also putting a modern twist on the subgenre. Rapids knack for crafting catchy and feel-good songs is unreal, and it’s why we are proud champions of his art!
