Rob Lea Shares His Brand-New Cordial Release ‘Time Of My Life’

Zoë McDonald

If you live in the post-COVID world of global recession threats, wars and unpredictability, ‘Time Of My Life’ may just be the pick me up you’ve been waiting for. The newest release by Blackpool-based artist Rob Lea is full of celebratory melodies, singalong choruses and an upbeat indie-rock track, all wrapped up in a slightly melancholic, feel-good banger.

Determined to create a better life for himself and his family, Lea hopes his new song touches a chord with the inner voice inside each of us, telling us to keep going. Lea acknowledges that as he grows older, time is fleeting, but he reminds us to have fun through it all and that how we spend our time is what truly matters. In his words, “Even through the endless struggle and rejection life throws at you, I carry on, because I know in my heart I can die a happy man knowing I’ve given it my all”.

Although Lea is the frontman of one of UK’s top touring tribute bands Majesty, impersonating Freddie Mercury, there’s no doubt that he has his own unique artist persona and musical identity. Lea’s latest release ‘Time Of My Life’ is reminiscent of songs by American pop-rock band Train, mixed with an underlying Britpop taste. It’s no surprise that after only four single releases in the past year, Lea has already been picked up by Nashville-based independent record label WBA and is gradually building his solo career, alongside touring across the UK with his tribute band.

Lea’s energy is contagious, and this track will leave you wanting more of his upbeat positivity. Listen to ‘Time Of My Life’ by Rob Lea on Spotify now:
