Rivita Offers Up Reflective and Rocky Tune ‘In The Mirror’

Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter and producer Rivita caught our attention a few months ago with her bouncy and exuberant single ‘Too Close‘. The talented songstress now returns with yet another stunner in the form of ‘In The Mirror’, a haunting and rocky little tune that builds itself up wonderfully. It showcases another side to Rivita’s sound when compared to its predecessor, and that’s something I always find exciting; an artist willing to explore and be innovative. What doesn’t change, however, is her powerful vocals. They remain her signature.

Joining the musician on ‘In The Mirror’ are Ukrainian guitarist Vitaly Tkachuk and Brazilian bassist Bruno Migliari. Having met through the online platform Musiversal, the three set about crafting a track that encapsulated Rivita’s desired “sorry, not sorry” vibe. “I wanted to reflect on my experiences as a woman,” she says. “Of having my feelings invalidated and in turn picking up insidious feelings of unworthiness”.

Preparing for the release of her debut full-length album, Rivita is an artist who undoubtedly deserves a wider audience. I’ve fallen in love with her latest piece and can’t wait to dive further into her discography. If good things truly do come to those who wait, 2024 shall be Rivita’s year!
