Hailing from Silverlake, LA, Riley Polanski presents some of the freshest and rawest pop we have heard in a while. Empowered by his malleable and evocative vocals tone – at times gritty and nuanced, at others soothing and caring – the American songster delivers ‘Insane’, a contemporary jewel steeped in meaningful, troubled lyricism.
Exploring the fine line between infatuation and obsession, Polanski seeks to highlight the fleeting nature of romantic relationships, often drenched in self-doubts and problematic behaviours. Sonically, the record can be seen as a slow-burn anthem, introduced by intimate guitar and vocal stylings and then developing into an explosion of full-band prowess.
Speaking about the single, Polanski explains: “‘Insane’ is the title single for my upcoming EP in May! This single borders themes of romantic infatuation and obsession. It all comes back to reflect on the little things that we fall in love with, but we never forget the little parts that drive us insane!”
