Driving a traditional musical bargain made up of country and Americana influences, the band previously shared ‘That’s What You Do’, a single we described as “the perfect example of a track with a precise message, aiming to hypnotise listeners”. Well, the project seems to have made a habit out of it.
‘Normal’ is Rick Lee Vinson Group’s latest offering, a stunning and heartwarming single built on relatable lyricism and uplifting, evocative melodies. Delving into pure and unfiltered country territories, the track delivers a vibrant listening experience, borrowing rock and pop elements, yet coming back to a charming steel guitar which takes it back to Rick Lee Vinson’s American roots. The song was written by him and Larry Levinsohn.
Speaking about the inspiration behind ‘Normal’, Rick explains: “Inspired by Larry’s battle with Covid, the song reflects on the journey to recovery and the longing for a return to normalcy; It embodies the signature style of the band”.
