Richard Green Shares Latest Effort ‘Smiles’

The keen reader will be very familiar with Richard Green, London-based, Italy-born composer and guitarist with a particular knack for long, electrifying and eclectic instrumental records. Writing about ‘A Legacy’ not long ago – a tune drenched in orchestral elegance – we proudly declared: “Refusing to stay in one lane, he’s an artist who pushes himself to explore new musical territories with every composition he releases”.

We stand by our words; ‘Smiles’ is Green’s latest effort, a glorious and uplifting celebration of his musical prowess. Shuffling the direction of his compositional efforts, Richard jumps into soul and funk territories with both feet, penning a catchy and groovy tune that shines a light over his nuanced guitar performance and his ability to be authentic and wholesome in pretty much every genre out there.

Collaborating with a fellow Italian drummer and a London bassist, Green explains: “It was a particular period of my life and I really wanted to express that moment in music, I wanted to say something and I did it with this tune; this is how I live music, a connection between me and others and my way to talk to them is with my music”.
