Rhys Coventry Shares Introspective Folk Gem ‘small talk’

There’s a lot to be said about Rhys Coventry; Hailing from the sunny and vibey lands of Byron Bay, the talented songster manages to create wholesome and relatable folk gems, creating a fictional world where listeners can escape and reflect, treated to soothing vocals and feathery acoustic guitars. This is our first encounter with Rhys, and we couldn’t be happier to discover the project.

‘small talk’ is perfect evidence of what was said above. The last single of the year, it’s an intense, slow-burning emotional jewel, providing the perfect framework for Coventry’s passionate and luscious singing nuances. Lyrically, we are in reflective territories, as the talented Aussie explains: “’small talk’ is an introspective song, written about my personal struggles with the feeling of not being enough for someone else. Which in the process of playing & talking about this song live, relates to almost everyone I’ve met in some way.”
