We have written extensively about Red Skies Mourning, and it’s always been clear the sizeable amount of talent the project has to offer. Celebrating former single ‘Beautiful Things’ (a Benson Boone cover), we proudly declared “Chris’ vocal performance absolutely steals the show”. Chris Aleshire is the singer and songwriter behind Red Skies Mourning, the driving force fueling the Baltimore-based artistic endeavour.
Now, he returns with one of the project’s largest releases to date, the eclectic and lyrically rich album ‘Myosotis’. In it, keen listeners are able to reckon with the wide, expansive and contemporary artistry that’s been cultivated in Red Skies Mourning. From nuanced electro-pop bangers such as ‘Borderline’, poignant and evocative, to uplifting and catchy anthems, such as ‘Listen To Me’, there’s something for everybody in the record.
Producer CESAR and co-writer Ryan Curtis join Aleshire in the making of the record. Together, the team crafts an impressive amount of pop goodness, all steeped in modern energy and meaningful lyricism. Speaking about the inspiration behind the album, Chris explains: “Life events and what I see and hear. Relationships, life in general, self-reflection.”
