Still, eventually, it’s probably more of an eclectic soundtrack: the audio component of Red Mercury’s latest creative endeavour. Paired with a sci-fi music video, the record resembles a holistic, multimedia artistic work with a strong hypnotising and hazy quality.
Headed by British producer and visionary Steve Gregory, Red Mercury is a rather experimental project, acting as an expressive outlet for the talented humans behind it. Packed with techno, dubstep and obscure sonic references, ‘Romeo Echo Delta’ confirms its merit in the reaction it gets from the listeners; confusion, introspection, and an overall sense of impending spiritual and technological reckoning.
Speaking about the music video for the record, Red Mercury’s vocalist Izi Crawford explains: “While we wanted to create something fun and engaging, it was crucial to elevate our production quality for this single. With AI-generated videos becoming more common over the past year, we aimed to explore uncharted territory and deliver something truly unique”.
