Rebekka Louise Returns with Luscious Gem ‘Breathing Poison’

We were instantly impressed by ‘Breathing Poison’. While being a fierce anthem for self-confidence and growth, the record is also sonically brave, layering alternative electronic tones against poppier matter, eventually blessed by Rebekka Louise‘s light and dynamic vocals. Based in London, the young songstress carries all the charm and songwriting prowess of her motherland, Norway, infusing her music with a certain Nordic flair.

Produced by Louise herself, ‘Breathing Poison’ acts as a glorious comeback, following up from last year’s ‘Punchingbag’. The track also showcases the evolution of a clearly talented young creative, constantly raising the quality of her production and vocal performances. Lyrically, it echoes Rebekka’s personal experience: “The song serves as a reminder to trust yourself and not always rely on others’ expectations and opinions – and as a plea to talk with and trust those you love, and not judge based upon what others claim.”
