Proklaim Shares Darker Single ‘Panthera’

He’s back at it! Namibian rapper Proklaim is an old friend of Mesmerized, and frankly, he’s been getting better and better with every release. This time around he delves into darker territories, crafting a hip-hop gem that finds its roots in grime and drill stylings. ‘Panthera’ mirrors its title: fierce, treacherous and panic-inducing, the track channels Proklaim’s deep-rooted influences from the golden era of hip-hop.

Drawing inspiration from legends like Wu-Tang Clan, Nas, and Tupac, as well as the eclectic sounds of Nirvana, Bob Marley, and Motown, Proklaim is known for pushing boundaries and defying expectations. ‘Panthera’ was recorded at PEN PUSHAZ STUDIOS and expertly mixed by Wojtek Majewski at Audio Art Namibia.

Upon hearing the beat, Proklaim was instantly inspired to craft a flow that matched its progressive, almost otherworldly feel. The session was straightforward, yet the challenge lay in finding a beat that stood out – a victorious challenge, as the track practically demanded a unique vocal approach.
