‘Pizza for Breakfast’ might be one of our habits, but it’s also the name of a record you should certainly listen to. Pairing fierce and fuzzy distortions with spoken words and chaotic drums, the track hails from a punchy and talented punk/alternative London-based band, proFESSional. The British outfit has recently unveiled ‘Pizza For Breakfast’ as their latest single, and honestly, it’s pretty impressive.
Charged with an intensively sleazy and raw character, the track wraps the listeners around a rebellious and exciting aura, echoing the likes of The Hives and Yard Act, among others. Packed with tons of musical prowess, proFESSional comprises Mani (voice), Rob Hennebry (guitars), Paul Fifield (guitars), Marco Gaspari (bass) and Jonny Brister (drums).
Speaking about the inspiration behind the project, they explain: “The world is in chaos. Humans are psychologically mad and crazy. Are we in the final innings of the human experiment? As we look around, we can either fill ourselves with rage, hopelessness and sadness. Or we can create art inspired by the madness. That’s proFESSional.” The group is also set for a run of UK shows in November.
