Ozzient Shares Meaningful Track ‘The One’

Truly a collaborative effort, ‘The One’ sees Chicago-based producer Ozzient joining forces with fellow hip-hop talents LandoIsLiving, KiERAN, Zenodro and Øverdrive, crafting a poignant, hard-hitting and empowering gem packed with fierceness and resilience. Built on pop-flavoured hip-hop and trap stylings, the record is pretty minimal and cinematic in its livery, leaving ample space for vocal prowess.

Such gloomy, yet hopeful lyricism is perhaps one of the best qualities of the single. Collecting such an inspired pool of creatives around him, Ozzient is able to provide a record that’s eclectic, meaningful and incredibly nuanced. Packed with soundscapes and melancholic textures, the piece is then crowned by LandoIsLiving, KiERAN, Zenodro and Øverdrive’s peculiar flows, all complementing each other very well.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the track, they explain: “It’s about someone who was once friends with a person who turned into an enemy. The lyrics talk about not trusting them and not needing their reasons for leaving. The song is about rising above negativity and focusing on personal growth”.
