Mark my words, this will not be the last time we hear from Dublin-based alternative rockers Oh Ryan! The up-and-comers marked their debut release last year with the eclectic ‘I Quit My Job’, followed that up with the laidback ‘Goofy’, and now return with a sunny and deeply infectious new single called ‘Take it Easy’.
Taking a somewhat irreverent approach to tackling the vital issue of global warming, ‘Take it Easy’ delves into the paradox of our contemporary approach to climate change. Our apathy and indifference in the face of impending environmental crises. Through it all, however, Oh Ryan never lose that signature sonic charm…that upbeat, light-hearted, and genuine charm.
An irresistible mix of catchy indie-pop intertwined with a thought-provoking and serious message, Take it Easy’ showcases just what the act is all about. It sums them up beautifully, and dare I say is the perfect introduction to their sound.
