NONĒ SUNSHINE are an alt-rock project comprised of Derek Hyde and Thomas Scott Laird, a duo who connected over a love of songwriting, and although this is their debut full-length piece, their collective industry experience and expertise shines through – a testament to their talent and unfaltering infatuation with rock and roll.
One of my favourite tracks is steadfast and rousing anthemic tune “Stumble”, a quintessential piece of electrifying alt-rock, melodies charged and infused with a textbook catchiness that leaves the tune running around your head for days after.
Throughout the album the drums are heady and driving, guitars spirited with an expansive energy and rich tone, and the vocals soar with captivating genuine performance. For any fans of rock who want to experience that sense of fervent nostalgia, this slick album is for you.
