If you’ve been following my work, firstly, thank you! Secondly, and more importantly, you’ll know that I’m a massive fan of the South East England-based project Nobody’s Wolf Child. ‘Nobody’s’ is the artist’s brand new single, and it’s also the final chapter to her hexalogy. In a little over a year, the musician has gifted us with six amazing tracks, and with each new release, her fanbase has deservedly exploded in size. ‘Nobody’s’ is a tune that wonderfully continues in that classic NWC fashion. The combination of earthy and primitive styles mixed with a cinematic and ethereal splendour is just inescapable.
Lyrically, the song serves as a wake-up call. It beckons for everyone to awaken and heed the growing malevolence of a system that thrives on the compliance of its subjects. Last year, I said that NWC’s music was “pure poetry and storytelling of the highest order”. I firmly stand by that statement!
It’s been an absolute treat watching NWC go from strength to strength in all of her musical endeavours. She is a true artist in every sense of the word. Currently working on her live shows and a brand new EP, it’s Nobody’s Wolf Child’s world. We’re just lucky to be living in it!
