Nick Noon Delivers His Debut EP with ‘A Jejune Affair’

Jeremy Bregman

Towards the end of last year, Nashville-based singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Nick Noon released two singles. ‘Costumes’ was the first, and ‘Bring out the Sunshine’ soon followed. The whole team fell in love with both tunes, and I labelled the latter “one of the best nostalgia rock tracks” that I had heard all year. I’m so thrilled to say that both of those songs plus two brand new ones have come together and formed Noon’s upcoming debut EP ‘A Jejune Affair’, which is scheduled for release on the 20th of this month.

‘When The Chariot Calls’ is the EP’s second tune, and it’s a beautifully moving yet somehow still catchy little song. It’s a perfect example of Noon’s unique musical style and his effortless ability to drift between genres, styles, and sounds.

‘Grant Me Speed’, the other brand new track and the EP’s closer, is just incredible. It has everything. Emotive piano, delicate strings, Noon’s heartfelt vocals, you name it. It’s anthemic and rich and I love absolutely everything about it!

Mastered by Brian Lucey (Arctic Monkeys, The Black Keys, Liam Gallagher), ‘A Jejune Affair’ is an instant classic!
