Having featured NEO 10Y on our blog before, we are rather familiar with the British visionary. The project is as rich and pompous as it could be, drenched in Vedic philosophies of peace and general kindness, aiming for personal growth and enlightened evolution. Following up from ‘GODDEX’, NEO 10Y now returns with his latest effort, ‘ONENESS (WHO WE ARE)’.
Serving up the ethereal and haunting electronic sauce he got us used to, the London-based talent builds a charming sonic panorama, layering glitchy drums and throbbing synthetisers with polite guitar riffs and cinematic hits. Overall, there’s a strong sense of grandeur in the record, an anthemic quality that seems to work well with NEO 10Y’s vocals, so expressive, luscious and evocative. Clocking in at a relatively short length – two minutes and fourteen seconds – ‘ONENESS (WHO WE ARE) is a short yet punchy jewel.
Describing the lyrical inspiration behind the song, NEO 10Y explains: “It is a genre-expansive trip designed to take us on a trip inward so that we have the chance to choose love and connect with the most authentic versions of ourselves.”
