nasmore and Co. Reinvent a Timeless Classic with ‘Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?’

nasmore, Neil Taylor, and Johnny are not exactly three artists whose paths you’d think would ever cross. nasmore is a Canadian-based acclaimed singer/songwriter and producer. Neil Taylor is an English guitarist who began his career playing with Tears For Fears. And Johnny is an up-and-coming Korean-American producer, singer, and rapper. Last month, however, this eclectic trio embarked on a daring musical experiment – a reinvention of Rod Stewart’s classic ‘Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?’.

Their audacious venture involved blending funky rhythms and rap lyricism together with the original tune’s nostalgia-laced charm. In this genre-defying reinterpretation, they seamlessly blend eras, paying homage to the past while propelling the track into the brilliance of the modern day. The result? An innovative, ingenious, and seriously infectious cover that captures the essence of multiple generations!

When asked about what their goals were with the song, nasmore and Neil mentioned that the collaboration was an exhilarating journey. “We wanted to push boundaries to craft a sound that resonates with multiple generations. We believe we achieved that”. They most certainly did, and it’s our hope that these three work together again very soon.
