Mother Vulture Share Dark and Hard-Hitting New Single ‘Slow Down’

We described Mother Vulture‘s previous single ‘Break Me’ as being the “perfect match for anyone who doesn’t fancy listening to ‘metal’ per sé but still wants to feel the electrifying quality that comes with it”. We stand by our words, and ‘Break Me’ has been a firm favourite around these parts ever since. We have, however, been eagerly awaiting to hear from the Bristol-based outfit again, and thankfully last week they delivered the goods with ‘Slow Down’.

A high-energy and octave-fuzz-laden piece of turbo-rock, ‘Slow Down’ is a raw and gritty tune that, truthfully, takes a little time to fully understand and appreciate. It’s dark, loud, and in-your-face, leaving you nowhere to hide, and pulling you into its chaotic energy whether you’re ready for it or not.

As one surrenders to and embraces the full-throttle nature of ‘Slow Down’, there’s no denying the rush and thrill of it all. The chaos becomes almost addictive and what Mother Vulture have been able to achieve in just over three minutes speaks volumes about their ability and talent.

“‘Slow Down’ is darker than some of the other stuff we’ve written,” says vocalist Georgi Valentine Ivanov. “But it was fun to explore a new sound and get even heavier, both musically and lyrically”.
