moreofthem Debut with Hyper-Pop Jewel ‘capture the moment

With majestic artistry, moreofthem descend on the international pop scene with strong hyper-pop flair and relatable lyricism, gifting us their debut effort ‘capture the moment’. There’s a lot to say about the record: first of all, the dazzling, hypnotizing production, facilitating a rather magical listening experience. Wrapped in luscious and high-pitched synthesisers, the track moves with a slick attitude towards a glorious resolution, enhanced by moreofthem’s ethereal and otherworldly vocals. Treated heavily in autotune and synthetic goo, the London-based outfit sound exactly like we would expect them to: fallen angels blessing our insignificant reality with raw, unfiltered artistry.

An artistry that flourishes not only in its sonic aspect but also in its lyricism. A fierce member of the queer community, the Malaysian-born, non-binary newcomers focus on the struggles of our modern society, especially when it comes to dealing with the anxiety and pressures of performing on social media. That’s what ‘capture the moment’ stands for.

As moreofthem explain: “‘capture the moment’ touches on the concept of social media consumption and the pressures we face when living up to societal norms. The key point was to be honest and direct with how even though we have our digital distractions that can cause us loads of anxiety and uneasiness with our identity, it’s completely okay to be different than everybody else and know your self-worth.”
