MOOD INC. are steering their boat. The destination? Vibrant and contemporary electro-soul, delivered with the same charisma and hypnotising flair the group has been known for. Initially a Tame Impala-Esque psych and chill outfit, the Brighton-based project now turns its attention to fellow groove heroes Jungle, delving into the same leftfield R&B and funk stylings that’s made everyone dance for the past ten years.
Of course, MOOD INC. do it their own way; the British group maintains a personal and authentic vision, a quality that’s particularly evident in ‘In Motion’, their latest single. Built over bouncy and eclectic rhythms, the record develops an affinity for modulated and spacious guitar tones, plus a healthy amount of electronic minimalism, the perfect match for the track’s liquid vocals.
Speaking about the song, the British creatives explain: “With ‘In Motion’, we aimed to inject a fresh burst of energy into our repertoire, exploring new sonic territories while retaining the soulful essence that defines MOOD INC.”
