Mobley Unveils Vibrant Jewel ‘Y’r Ghost’

Some of you out there will already be familiar with Mobley. Hailing from Austin, Texas, the talented singer-songwriter has been enjoying a tremendous rise in the past couple of years, amassing millions of streams on Spotify alone. It’s not hard to understand why: a truly eclectic outfit, the project blends soulful stylings with indie coolness, oscillating in and out between dreamy and psych influences and more grounded, R&B elements.

The result is a stunning concoction of sultry tones and evocative vocals, taking the listeners on a vibrant journey into Mobley’s colourful imagery and meaningful storytelling. ‘Y’r Ghost’ is the Texan artist’s latest effort, the follow-up to his critically acclaimed album ‘Young & Dying In The Occident Supreme’, released earlier this Spring. In it, the keen listener will find references to the previous EP ‘Cry Havoc’, continuing an intriguing storyline exploring human love and intricate relationships.

As Mobley explains: “‘Y’r Ghost’ marks the return of Jacob Creedmoor, the protagonist from Cry Havoc! It finds him reminiscing about the night he met the love of his life and mourning her loss and the fact that she’s fading from his memory. The song’s shifts in mood and energy mirror the turmoil of our lovelorn hero and the lyrics hint at a larger story still waiting to be told.”

Constantly balanced between indie, alternative rock and alt-pop, Mobley’s artistic inspiration has not run out yet – looking forward to what’s next.
