It’s no secret that Michael Peloso is a successful indie songwriter, having co-written singles for NARAS artists such as Natalie Jean, Christina Gaudet and Kathy Sanborn, among others. Now, Michael focuses on showcasing his own personal lyricism, thanks to a personal project that – originally debuting in 2021 – takes a more solid shape in the American artist’s latest single, ‘Rewind’.
Featuring fellow talents Marisa Frantz and Matthew Shell, the record follows up on Peloso’s latest album, ‘Life’s Little Accidents’, released two years ago. In it, the listener was able to get a glimpse of Michael’s complex and painful life challenges, a theme that always connects to a vast variety of people. ‘Rewind’ continues on the same path, approaching a critical time in its author’s life. Configuring itself as a smooth ballad, the track highlights Frantz and Shell’s evocative and delicate vocals, while shining a light on Peloso’s sapient storytelling and relatable melodies.
As a stage 4 cancer and epilepsy survivor, Michael has truly earned the right to express himself in a way that many of us cannot. His music speaks to us all, showing us that despite our struggles, we can all persevere. In a time when we need it the most, Michael has given us a light to help guide us through the darkness.
