Michael Ellery Returns with Cinematic Piece ‘Falling Through’

We had a previous successful encounter with Australian producer Michael Ellery. Boasting a strong cinematic outlook, he crafts records evocative and poignant, often collaborating with fellow talents. It was the case for ‘Save Me’, a gem we described as “a massive, heart-shaking masterpiece, featuring colossal percussions and orchestral arrangements”.

Now, Ellery returns for another slice of movie-like extravaganza, this time teaming up with Candice Susnjar on a track + NFT combo. ‘Falling Through’ is exactly what one would expect from Ellery; a slow-burn, intense cinematic anthem, with a healthy amount of evocative textures, witty build-ups and a spacious, ethereal character that’s incredibly emotional and vibrant. Frankly, that’s quite an impressive record.

Speaking about the inspiration behind ‘Falling Through’, Ellery explains: “It is about falling through into an unrecognizable world within a relationship and the recurring mistakes that lead to regret and tension. The song delves deep into the emotional turmoil of being out of sync with a partner, with one side striving to maintain the connection”.
