Metrophobia Share Latest Single ‘Crazy’

Imagine being transported into a universe that feels haunting yet glorious, anthemic yet poised. That’s how Metrophobia feel like: a relatable rock duo from Switzerland, the project fully flourishes on an elegant sound that balances gritty guitar tones, light electronica and a certain pop-driven lyricism, making their music very friendly for whoever is ready to accept their never-obvious messages of modern dystopia and introspection.

Featuring musicians extraordinaire Markus Gmür (vocals, acoustic guitar) and José Garrido (guitar, bass, drums programming), Metrophobia’s sonic energy could be best described as a mix of indie, alt and leftfield rock, always maintaining a specific dark element, fully drawing the listeners into the group’s eclectic artistry.

‘Crazy’ is the strongest evidence of everything said above. Metrophobia’s latest single, the track manages to draw the listeners into the project, thanks to a relatable character and an alternative outlook. Describing the lyricism behind the track, the Swiss talents explain: “It’s about drawing the line and crossing over to the realm where reason meets madness. The song pays tribute to that moment of fury, like the ‘Falling Down’ movie in which Michael Douglas is overwhelmed by his pent-up rage towards a world that’s so damn ungrateful.”
