Melt Into Mint Tulip’s Dreamy Sophomore Single ‘Flowers’

Mint Tulip is the up-and-coming musical project of Melbourne-based singer/songwriter and guitarist Abbey Barnes. In March, the artist released her debut single ‘Mermaid’, and she now returns with ‘Flowers’, a dreamy and hypnotic offering that you simply melt into.

Touching on daydreaming about your crush, ‘Flowers’ is an ethereal and immersive little number that leaves the listener feeling as though they’re floating on air. It effortlessly transports you to a realm of serene enchantment and wraps you in a sonic cocoon of delicate and celestial beauty.

Working alongside Alex Pijpers from the Melbourne act Walt, Abbey has constructed one of my favourite tunes of the year. There’s something so unique about the dream-pop sounds that emanate from Australia, and I foresee Mint Tulip being quickly added to the ranks of luminaries making waves internationally.

Influenced by the likes of Big Thief, Mazzy Star, Cate Le Bon, and Belle and Sebastian, Mint Tulip is on track to become a celebrated name in the industry. We can’t wait to hear what she has next up her sleeve!

Serious tune alert! Enjoy ‘Flowers’ on Spotify now:
