Matthew Ruddy Shares Latest Effort ‘The World is Mine’

A simple yet meaningful record, ‘The World is Mine’ navigates relatable and melancholic pop territories hoping to rally a sizeable audience for the project. Well, we are confident Matthew Ruddy is on the right track, and he’s going to grow as long as he keeps counting on his saxophone, a feature that’s making him pretty unique and interesting.

Following up on previous single ‘Learn To Fly’, Ruddy unveils an emotional gem that’s both lyrically and sonically packed. On one side, we find the sort of lyricism that attracts people in, spanning breakups and love, attraction themes. On the other side, there’s a healthy amount of musical extravaganza while keeping in touch with tradition.

Built over classic arrangements, guitar solos and charming pianos, ‘The World is Mine’ also rejoice from Matthew’s professional skills, alas being a saxophone player. A graduate of Glasgow Clyde College and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Ruddy engages in a stunning solo that’s even more impressive when compared to his evocative singing vocals.
