We perceive our realities with every action we take in our lives. What we think, what we believe, what we perceive, and what language we speak all impact how we see ourselves and the world around us. Now, Berlin-based multi-talent Marie Chain offers us an opportunity to create our own reality through music on her transportive track “Reality,” an ethereal production that’s travelled the world in its creation process.
Having been written and recorded in the mountains of Guatemala on a trip through Central America, produced in Berlin and vocals recorded in a village near Leipzig, in the house where Chain grew up, the track is a journey in every possible way; taking us along as it came to life step by step and then taking us inwards on a journey to ourselves upon completion.
The soundtrack to her upcoming self-produced festival Freedom Festival, we’re taken through layers upon layers of ambient sonics with hypnotic vocals weaving around it to make for a healing and introspective atmosphere.
Having begun her musical journey at the age of 5, Chain continues on a sonic mission to connect with people through a free, communal, peaceful and vibrantly artistic reality that she’s through each reverberant and blissful note of her craft.
