Marcane Blends Hip-Hop and Alt-Rock on Spellbinding New Tune ‘Blurring’

Marcane is an alternative pop artist and producer based in Manchester who recently put out a super interesting and edgy little tune that I can’t get out of my head! ‘Blurring’ is a little over two and a half minutes, but it’s so powerful and gripping that its potency lingers long after its brief runtime. Teaming up with engineer Robin Adams, (Blood Youth, Sam Carter, Guilt Trip) Marcane constructs a darkly eclectic blend of synthy hip-hop and alt-rock. Described by some as “Post Malone meets Bring Me the Horizon,” it’s a track that needs to be heard to be fully appreciated.

“‘Blurring’ is a protagonist anthem about how people’s emotions are perceived in the eyes of others,” Marcane says of the song. “Although predominantly alternative pop, I decided to let my background in metalcore and alt-rock shine through!” It was a bold choice for the musician to take, but I believe it’s paid off in spades. Innovative, exploratory, genius!

Harnessing the complexities of his emotionally unstable personality disorder (EUPD) to fuel his artistry, Marcane is undoubtedly an artist who marches to the beat of his own drum. It’s often those artists who resonate most deeply with us, isn’t it? Here’s to many more going forward from a hugely talented musician!
