Just a few days ago, Los Angeles-based alternative-pop musician Mandy Slate unleashed a brand new tune called ‘Gamble’, a genre-bending and immersive track that I just can’t get enough of! Featuring Arizona-based hip-hop artist Luv Leek, who’s a longtime friend and collaborator, the song is a smooth and ethereal journey into the realm of alternative psychedelic hip-hop. By merging Slate’s seductive dream-pop flair with Leek’s infectious and introspective hip-hop sensibilities, the two have concocted a rich and hypnotic tune that deserves your attention!
In May of this year, Mandy released her debut EP ‘101’ to widespread praise and acclaim. She’s an artist who seems to have found her sound – and it’s a sound that’s unique, noteworthy, and clearly resonating with a lot of people. ‘Gamble’ is really the perfect example of this and through honest and confessional lyrics, her authenticity and sincerity simply cannot be questioned!
Though they’ve been collaborating for ages, ‘Gamble’ is actually the very first piece of music they’ve created together and released. I really hope it gets the recognition it deserves and that it’s the first of many to come from this talented twosome!
