Part of a squad of modern artists perfectly at home in soulful settings, Mandy Moon is what you’d describe as ‘eclectic’. Equally at home on RnB anthems and Jazz-tinged bops, she uses her expressive and evocative vocals to explore the human experience, capturing the fragility that all of us share, often behind a solid wall of deceptive appearances. Following up on the acoustic gem ‘Lighthouse’, Moon now returns with a more robust, groovy and vibey offering, the soulful number ‘Drive’.
Part of a full-length record to be released next year, ‘Drive’ recalls the complexity of human conflicts, especially when love is involved. It does so in a slow-tempo, classic soul-inspired arrangement, yet sounding fresh thanks to Mandy Moon’s intense and precious vocal tone, dominating the track and bringing it home in glorious fashion.
The talented artist explains the writing process behind the record: “Drive’s inspiration comes from my perspective of what it feels like to be so angry at someone, but so lost in love, you find a way to make it work. You drive and drive until you figure it out. ”
Emerging from Nashville, Moon has all the cards to make it in an industry hungry for real, pure talent. We’ll be here supporting her.
