Man With A Corduroy Heart Returns with Playful Single

There’s always been an overwhelming, heart-warming simplicity in Man With A Corduroy Heart’s musical work. It’s a good thing: it helps the project stay relatable and approachable, delivering strong storytelling with a quirky and playful outlook. Drenched in a plethora of influences, mainly folk and rock elements, ‘I’m a Little Bit Short’ confirms what was said above, even displaying a certain elegance.

Man With A Corduroy Heart’s vocals are absolutely delightful in this track, often engaging in Beatles-esque harmonies and possessing this saturated, gritty tone that makes it a tad vintage, yet very contemporary. Overall, ‘I’m a Little Bit Short’ is decisively brighter than the project’s previous album – ‘Things Are a Little Bit…’ – and it’s here that we realize there’s perhaps a common theme between the two titles. Interesting…

Leaving behind obscure beats and bluesy guitars, Man With A Corduroy Heart shares a nugget of honesty and positivity, chanting the timeless tales of being a musician and running out of money. We hope that’s not the British artist’s case, although if true, he sure does a good job of releasing strong records. ‘I’m A Little Bit Short’ deserves a listen.
