Maddy Storm Shares Honest Pop Anthem ‘Last Halloween’

A wider exploration of early adulthood and self-growth struggles, ‘Last Halloween’ is as memorable and wholesome as it could be. Built on charming electro-pop stylings, the single doesn’t shy away from veiled hyper-pop references, with a distinctively hip-hop-flavoured beat. Penned by Machester-based creative Maddy Storm, the record is the perfect framework for her intense, luscious and evocative vocals, delivered with a healthy amount of sassiness and authenticity.

We are confident that ‘Last Halloween’ will resonate with a large audience. A reflection of Storm’s personal journey through a breakup and early adulthood, the song “it’s about mental health (and my lack thereof), and being scared of being a burden to those you love and not knowing how to fix it; it’s 3 am notes from a people pleaser” – as she explains. In a way, it’s coming-of-age storytelling with a fierce twist.

There’s a light celebrative touch to it too, being that Storm can deliver such lyricism while being the better version of herself; she’s matured into a more balanced and self-aware individual. Overall, it’s clear that the talented songstress and producer has managed to reconcile with any inner demons, letting her artistic potential run free and grow exponentially, as greatly showcased in ‘Last Halloween’.
