Singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Lynden. recently returned with his second single in the form of ‘You’, a delicate and personal ballad dedicated to his loving partner of eleven years. Stepping out of his comfort zone to express his true feelings, something he admits to finding difficult, the Burnley-based musician opts for a minimalistic and laidback soundscape. “The song started as a challenge last summer to write a proper love song,” says the artist. “I was fed up talking about depressing themes”. Serving as a biographic recollection through the years of the couple’s relationship, ‘You’ focuses on how incredibly intense a bond and connection one can make with another human being.
