Channelling late-80s / early-90s eclecticism, the record pairs friendly and emotional lyricism together with an arrangement that’s approachable, yet guitar-heavy.
The guitar accents following the main chorus are a true mark of a Knopler connoisseur – and frankly, it’s great to see that formula back in today’s musical landscape. Luke Panayiotou is the talented human behind it all. A singer, songwriter and guitarist, the Manchester-based creative drenches ‘Holding On’ in vibrant and legendary lyricism, allowing the listeners to relate to the whole piece.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, Panayiotou explains: “A message for everyone to relate to. That in life we can never really be certain about what impact our choices have…life is just a journey of decisions”.
