Lucille Two Return with Playful Indie Pop Single ‘Pixels’

When we mention Lucille Two, we are not referring to the Bluth-shaped universe of Arrested Development. Instead, we are presenting to you our latest obsession, a hazy alt-pop duo steeped in angelic, spacious vocals and playfully eclectic sound design. Born from the artistic partnership of Trudy Bennett and Jarrin Borg, Lucille Two have recently unveiled their latest effort, ‘Pixels’, a wonderful indie pop, retro-flavoured gem with a polite psychedelic component.

Pairing dry, fuzzy guitars and clean basslines with ethereal vocals and misty atmospheres, the duo wrap listeners in an ever-changing stream of musical goodness, oscillating between rugged, malleable distortions and intricate synth-powered melodies. ‘Pixels’ emerge victorious from such an imaginative concoction of sounds, taking Lucille Two to new artistic heights.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the single, the two creatives explain: “It explores the disconnect between digital illusions and reality.”
