An immersive and mesmerising offering, ‘The Scenic Route’ marks the latest effort by young Florida talent Lowtyde. Built on a bubbly and uplifting groove, the track finds its ideal home in modern R&B and Hip-Hop stylings, although the vocals give the record a decisively pop outlook. There’s a lot to look forward to, with Lowtyde’s teaming up with collaborator Thenamesbhris, making for a constant shifting between fierce rap flow and evocative and charming singing, helping the listener enter the majestic and fluorescent panorama depicted in ‘The Scenic Route’.
Connecting to a fellow producer via social media, Lowtyde was able to scout the right sonic setting for his authentic lyricism, drenched in personal experience and hard reality. It works on all fronts, with the single being a slice of fierce goodness, contemporary and fresh.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the track, Lowtyde explains: “‘The Scenic Route’ is about life. In the most blunt way possible. I wrote this song as a recap of the year 2022, and what I learned throughout the year. I learned and truly began to understand that life has an ebb and flow, and we kinda just have to roll whatever way the currents are going.”
