Emerging from New Zealand, pop songstress LOVETA debuted at the beginning of the year, sharing bubbly and relatable pop gems with modern flair. Safe to say, she’s transformed herself into a force to be reckoned with, showcasing nuanced songwriting and wonderful vocals. Her latest effort – ‘All We Got’ – revolves around super-charged disco-pop, combining soulful funk references with charming mainstream elements, delivering the ultimate winter anthem. Balanced between bubbly grooves and introspective sensibilities, the record signals the evolution of LOVETA into a rising global star.
Taken from the debut EP ‘More Than Fun’, ‘All We Got’ is clear evidence of LOVETA’s vocation for pop music. From here, it’s all smooth sailing.
Describing the concept behind the track, the kiwi talent explains: “I was inspired to write the track after becoming super connected to Gloria Gaynor’s hit ‘I Will Survive’, as I had been singing it a lot live on stage at the time” says LOVETA. “I wanted to create a track with a similar feel – timeless, epic, and uplifting – but one in which you can completely live inside the song and go where it takes you. I also wanted it to be playful and a fresh take on the 70’s sound.”
