We had the chance to feature Love Ghost extensively on our platform. In fact, we recently had the chance to write about ‘GLOCK’, a collab with fellow creative Dan Garcia, which we defined as “one of the most hard-hitting and fierce journeys you’ve ever been on”. Now, the Los Angeles resident returns with his latest effort, ‘Snap’ a charming and modern hip-hop effort that carries that same creepy and dark outlook as its predecessor – musically speaking.
The instrumental feels fuzzy, saturated, at times quite industrial. Vocals are a match, especially thanks to guest artist CHZTER, who offers her unapologetic and gritty tone delivered with strong authority and power. Love Ghost – on the other hand – follows his signature emo-flavored stylings, taking the listener on a rather introspective and eclectic journey.
‘Snap’ continues the Mexico-powered creative streak, which sees Finnegan Bell – aka Love Ghost – recording with some of the best peeps in the local rap community. We are excited to hear what’s to come! Speaking about the lyricism behind ‘Snap’, he explains: “It’s a dark trap song about transforming into someone or something that you wanted to be but felt like you couldn’t become due to depression. It’s about defeating a part of yourself that you no longer resonate with.”
