Penned by Asheville-based creative Little Champion, ‘Overpass’ is simply wonderful, especially when enriched by its author’s light, malleable vocals, delivered with softness and charisma.
Also known by his daily name, Dustin Goldklang, Little Champion can count on a wealth of experience in the music field, boasting years of militancy in punk and indie outfits in his region. ‘Overpass’ belongs to a newly-found version of his artistry, perhaps more mature and informed. Finding comfort in songwriting and the simple chords of a guitar, Goldklang is a keen observer of the human spirit.
There’s more to come; Little Champion is a journey in the making. As he explains: “The track will appear on a yet-to-be-announced album, with the primary theme being… places”.
