Something that instantly strikes me about ‘That Girl’ is its near-perfect pop prowess. The piece is virtually complete, with honey-like melodies, relatable lyricism and catchy hooks. Its ballad-like energy and lusciousness are highly enticing, wrapping the listeners in cathartic escapism and heartwarming feelings of love and attraction. Penned by Italian-based trio Limitless, the track also shares an authentic retro flair, with the production steeped in 90s flavourings.
Formed by Marco, Riccardo and Massimo, Limitless have a rather interesting and unique origin story. Massimo, an entrepreneur, approached consumed songwriters and musicians Riccardo and Marco with the goal of commissioning music for business seminars. Eventually, the three creatives found shared artistry, giving birth to the current project. ‘That Girl’ is Limitless’ debut effort, a nugget of poignancy and sultry intensity.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the single, the Italian trio explains: “It focuses on the story of idealized love, where the dream is revealed through a girl who is perceived as the symbol of eternal love. Love transforms us and makes us better.” We are confident people will greatly relate to it – just give it a chance. The vocals are god-tier, you won’t be disappointed.
