Leo Golo Returns with Emotional Love Ballad ‘See Your Face’

It wasn’t long ago that I stumbled upon Barcelona-based pop superstar Leo Golo. He’d just released an upbeat and seriously danceable tune called ‘All In & All Out’, and I instantly fell in love with his sound. Eagerly awaiting to hear from him again, Leo recently answered my calls with ‘See Your Face’, a vulnerable yet potent love ballad that showcases the artist’s versatility. Completely different sonically to ‘All In & All Out’, it’s an emotional tune that Golo admits drew on inspiration from Coldplay.

Beginning with a stripped-down simplicity, featuring only an acoustic guitar and Leo’s stupendous vocals, ‘See Your Face’ gradually transforms into a powerful and impassioned anthem. It’s got a big presence to it as well – and I can see it being belted out to a large and adoring stadium crowd.

Telling a tale of two boys who met online but never in person, its universal resonance beautifully encapsulates the bittersweet reality of love in the digital era. “Even though the song doesn’t explicitly refer to a boy in the lyrics, I find it important to normalize when singing about gay love,” says the musician.

Both ‘All In & All Out’ and ‘See Your Face’ will feature on Leo Golo’s forthcoming album scheduled for release later this year, and it’s a record that we at Mesmerized simply cannot wait to hear!
