‘Hallucinate Intelligence’ might not be a record for everyone; exploring the leftfield end of electronic music (and beyond), the EP manifests its identity into a hazy, misty and hypnotising blend of lo-fi stylings, synthwave and vaporwave-flavoured beats, all drenched into long textures and ever-evolving soundscapes.
For us, it’s pure gold. While we often write about pop music, our past personal experiences take us very close to the eclectic matter that LateNightBeatFeast is proposing. Hailing from Cambridge, the talented creative and visionary is heavily inspired by the conversation around AI and its unique behaviours. By connecting it with synthetic soundscapes, the listeners will feel surrounded by machine-made matter… although LateNightBeatFeast’s evocative (and human-powered) artistry is always at the helm of it.
As he explains: “‘Hallucinate Intelligence’ comes from new stories about AI creating content to satisfy the queries posed to it, rather than actual facts – these were termed ‘intelligent hallucinations’, which was the title I used for the first set of tracks I released this year”.
