‘Kiss The World Goodbye’ is the sophomore single from Missouri-based rockers LastTimeDown, and it’s a melancholic yet deeply captivating little number. The production is rich and warm, as the band invite you into their melodic and powerfully genuine world. With Jason Thomas’ raspy, whiskey-kissed vocals, it’s a tune that tugs at the heartstrings and transports you to a bittersweet realm of introspection. I find myself wanting to call ‘Kiss the World Goodbye’ a “classic rock ‘n’ roll track but, in truth, it’s so much more than that.
“‘Kiss the World Goodbye is about those times when you feel like giving up,” says Thomas. “After you’ve tried your hardest and think you have nothing left to give”. The message here is one of perseverance and tenacity. Sometimes, the only option is to confront adversity head-on. Embrace the discomfort and fear and simply get down to business!
Inspired by the likes of Chris Cornell, Dave Grohl, Incubus, Jimi Hendrix, Coldplay, and Stone Temple Pilots to name just a few, LastTimeDown has carved out a sound and a style that is unique and original. Their latest song showcases a band who create music from the heart and are determined to connect and touch their audience, and I truly cannot wait to hear more from this talented bunch!
