Incredibly elegant and nuanced, ‘Truth is’ sees London-based songstress Ladylucci indulging in old-school, slow-tempo R&B, a livery that perfectly fits her evocative and luscious vocals. Drenched in a vibey retro-flavoured production, the record moves with charisma and confidence towards a catchy chorus, a triumph of harmonies and blissful tones which completely and positively overwhelm the listeners – but don’t just take our word for it!
Teaming up with fellow creative and producer Asaph Kolakale, Ladylucci inaugurates a collaboration which seems to be working extremely well – their artistic alchemy is obvious. Speaking about the inspiration behind the single, she explains: “A celebration of unconditional love a sentiment that transcends time and space, resonating deeply with the listener. It’s a song that speaks to the power of love to endure and overcome all obstacles, and I’m thrilled to share it with the world”.
If you are in London and wish to catch Ladylucci performing live, you can do so on March 20th, at Servant Jazz Quarters.
