Seattle-based indie act La Need Machine is enjoying a wave of success following the release of their debut single ‘I Wish I Could Fly’ at the end of last year. Keen to maintain that momentum, the band recently put out a follow-up tune, and today I’d like to introduce you to their brand new single ‘These Old Jeans’.
A deeply nostalgic piece of music, ‘These Old Jeans’ is a sweet little indie-rock track that worms its way into your head and refuses to leave. Infectious, upbeat, and intensely mellifluous, it brings with it a message of compassion and goodwill.
“‘These Old Jeans is the story of how acquiring wisdom leads to modesty and humbleness,” says the band. “This in turn leads to understanding and a step forward toward peace and love”.
As undoubtedly one of my favourite discoveries of the year so far, La Need Machine is an act that has the world at its feet. Their sound is polished, authentic, and genuine, and I get the feeling we’ll be hearing from them a lot more in the very near future! Here’s to many more from a highly talented bunch!
