Originally from Shanghai, songwriter and pop producer Chengcheng made a brave relocation to Boston to study at Berklee College of Music, later moving again to pursue a career in pop music in no other than Los Angeles. After going far distances to follow his dreams, the determined artist is finally ready to release his much-anticipated debut, as he shares a fresh take on pop music.
Chengcheng disguises discouraged lyrics in an upbeat pop production, inspired by the Billboard charted pop music he grew up listening to. Combining edgier pop elements with his dance and bubblegum pop influences, the artist aims to find a sweet spot between dark pop and club hits.
Chengcheng debut ‘Boundaries’ is undoubtedly an attention grabber. It’s a fun upbeat song calling out players – or in Chengcheng’s words, the “fake ex”.
