We have surely enjoyed following Kylie Rothfield on her musical journey. Lately, she’s been turning towards heavier territories, with the potent ‘Old Man’ gaining traction on our pages as “a punchier, rowdier effort delving into Kylie’s post-punk influences”. The American creative is not resting on her laurels, and has recently unveiled another striking offering, ‘Temporary’. Delving into alt-rock territories, the single still maintains Rothfield’s pop posture, resulting in a relatable, welcoming yet vibrant record.
As always, we find alluring and catchy choruses, something that Kylie seems to have perfected by now. Sharing her take on a failing relationship, Rothfield continues: “The song is about clinging to a toxic relationship/situationship, fully aware it will have to end someday, but avoiding the inevitable and refusing to let go continuing to see each other.” Stay tuned for Kylie’s debut album, expected in the next few months.
